The shops are adjacent to the meeting rooms and the space feels more like a mall than the traditional shops on older ships. The shopping area is an open floor plan with a high-end retailer feel and has departments for jewellery and watches, clothing and handbags, duty-free cosmetics, liquors and cigarettes, as well as Holland America-branded items. The secondary pool is the Sea View pool on Deck 9 aft. Holland America claims it is adults only but we saw a kid -- or three -- sneak in. There are plenty of chaise lounges for sunning or watching the views from the back of the ship and tables and chairs for alfresco Lido dining. Overall, it was somewhat challenging to snorkel in the rolling seas but did gave us a chance to stretch our muscles after sitting on the cruise ship. The Eurodam was the only cruise vessel in FLL port with passengers. (Noordam was docked but with no passengers.) We were informed that the ship would only have 905 passengers on this sailing (43% of full double occupancy passenger capacity!), so embarkation was a breeze. The Lido pool is the primary one and it's found on Deck 9 midship. It features a retractable roof that can be closed during inclement weather or on colder itineraries. The full-sized pool is flanked by three hot tubs and has lots of chaise lounges with towels lining the sides. On the port side along the windows of Deck 9 are four-top table and chairs for Lido Market dining. The starboard side features eight private Lido cabanas along the windows, available for daily and weekly rentals.

There were 7 restaurants onboard the MS Eurodam, and 24-hour room service available. Every night in the Rembrandt dining hall the menu features daily specials, as well as a few house favorites. Our favorite meal on our cruise was at Pinnacle grill. Our steaks were out of this world and cooked to perfection. Most days our cruise ship arrived in port between 8-9a.m. We were advised over the speakers when we could head to shore and when to be back on board.

We did have some minor issues that were quickly resolved, which included the need to changeout the TV remote and phone. Due to our stateroom location directly below the Sea View Pool/Bar, every morning around 7 am you would hear the constant moving of deck chairs/tables, which was a minor inconvenience since we are early risers. Our only significant issue was that the balcony partition between the adjacent stateroom came loose during our last night on voyage, apparently due to high winds, and banged the majority of the evening.
The Eurodam has three levels of kid's programs, for ages ranging from 3-17. The Club HAL space is midship on deck 10, and has games, computers, and movies. The Eurodam fitness center has all the latest equipment including spinners, treadmills, and ellipticals. The private cabanas next to the Lido Pool can be rented by the day or for the entire cruise. Been to Nassau to many times; however, authorities are definitely doing major renovations to the cruise port/terminal; basically, rebuilding from scratch. Margaritaville has completed a new hotel and beach area since our last visit, which definitely improved and revitalized waterfront.
Those seeking pampering and relaxation need look no further than the new spa staterooms or the cabanas in The Retreat and by the Lido Pool. The 2104-passenger Eurodam was launched by Holland America in July 2008. The beautiful ship was Holland America's first of the cruise line's "Signature Class".
Overall, we were more than satisfied with our accommodation after such a long hiatus from cruising. MS Eurodam (2008-built, last refurbished in 2023) is the first of all two Signature-class Holland America ships – together with ms Nieuw Amsterdam. Spa cabins categories are SU-Spa Suite, VQ-Spa Balcony, CQ-Spa Oceanview, and IQ-Spa Inside (all located on Panorama Deck 10, with narrow balconies) plus VT-Spa Balcony (“French balcony”) on Observation Deck 11. Additional perks for Spa stateroom guests are organic bathrobes, slippers, iPod station, Yoga mats, pedometer, fitness-themed DVD, speciality bottled water, tray with cut-fruits (daily). Wheelchair-accessible cabins (for disabled passengers) are in categories SA-Neptune Suite, SY-Signature Suite, V-VA-VB-Balcony, H-Oceanview, and I-Interior.
